Looking for a new way to explore off-the-beaten-path communities? Long Island Traditions interviews everyday people to give you an authentic look into communities of yesterday and today.

This driving tour is part of the New York Back Story tours developed by folklorists and cultural ethnographers who know you want to hear from local storytellers.

On this tour you will explore Lake George in the southern Adirondacks of upstate New York, traveling north to south as you trace the lake towards its source in southern Warren County, NY. There are ten stops, each taking you to different spots on Lake George, where you will meet local artists and residents who draw inspiration from this lake.
