About This Tour

Spain's Supermarket

Welcome to Grenada’s Downtown Historic District, nestled in the curve of the Yalobusha River between exits 206 and 208 on Interstate 55. Whether your interests run to outdoor adventure, history, music and art, or just exploring an unspoiled part of the Deep South, we hope you will be intrigued.

Grenada is a remarkable place, full of rich history and strong promise for the future. Located halfway between Memphis and Jackson, Grenada County includes part of the Mississippi Delta, the Mississippi Hills, and the Loess Bluffs, which create a unique ecosystem, with plants and birds not easily found anywhere else. Grenada Lake, the largest lake in Mississippi, is one of four lakes built by the Army Corps of Engineers to control the Mississippi River flood plain. Just 1.5 miles away from downtown Grenada, the lake offers great fishing and abundant hiking and camping opportunities. You can also kayak through our gorgeous local swamp, Chakchiuma Swamp, which is just on the north side of town.
